Misty May-Treanor Carries Gold Medal in a Baggie

When it comes to exercising her acting chops, "There was more pressure here than at the Olympics," May-Treanor said on the set. "I was so nervous this morning. These young actors are so talented and so friendly. It was so much fun. I felt like a kid in a candy store."
"She pulled it off. She was funny and she had great timing, which is really hard," says cast member David Henrie. "She's like family. She will always have a home here."

WOWP Cast Host "Wiz-tober" Throughout October

The cast of the hit sitcom for kids and families, "Wizards of Waverly Place " -- Selena Gomez, David Henrie, Jake T. Austin and Jennifer Stone -- will host "Wiz-tober," a month-long programming event featuring all new episodes of the series every Sunday (8:30 p.m., ET/PT) in October on Disney Channel. Beginning FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, a personal "spell maker" will be featured on DisneyChannel.com, where kids can submit their own fun "spell." Select entries will air on Disney Channel during the programming event.

A Magical Time For David Henrie

Is it just us, or is actor David Henrie transforming into another boy wizard we know and love? Hmmm. Maybe it's a transfiguration spell? Or maybe it's just the robes the star is sporting in the two-part "Wizards of Waverly Place" episode airing Sunday at 8 p.m. on the Disney Channel. The Sunday spoof has David's character, Justin, and his sister, Alex (played by Selena Gomez), heading off to Hogwarts. Just kidding! But they are going to a school for wizards and Potter fans will love the jokes and references.

I did some snowboarding in Park City, and they had this New Year's Eve event going on, this big ballroom celebration with tons of kids and teenagers, and all of them knew who I was. It was weird because I hadn't experienced anything like that before, and I felt very blessed at the same time. That was really cool.

David Henrie has been getting lots — and lots — of fan attention in recent months, despite the fact his series, "The Wizards of Waverly Place" is a comparative newbie on the scene. Henrie had his own contingent of teen girls calling out for him at the recent "High School Musical 2" DVD premiere, for instance, and has been the recipient of video love notes and other interesting mail.
